Welcome.  My name is Dave Herding.  I’m just a regular guy who is making an attempt to blog for the very first time.  I like to read and think.  I’ll be the first to admit that none of my thoughts or ramblings in this blog are original.  And I don’t intend to be preachy, nor do I strive to be philosophically profound or complicated in my postings.  Since I enjoy other bloggers who put the cookies on the shelf where average readers like myself can reach them, I purpose to do the same here.

Since everything today is so fast-paced and hectic, my intent is to personally slow things down with some bite-size thoughts and meditations about things that really matter.  It is my hope that readers of this blog are often reminded about the frailness and brevity of this life.
